Introduction
Internet is
nowadays the prominent highway for communication Between
people and for exchange of information.
I am from a northern Lebanese village
spread over a hill
in The Drayb region
In Akkar . It is nice and
quiet village named
Tleil . I created this website
in order to be a
window for Communication and the shortest cut
for distances .
The purpose of this website is to
introduce geographically
and historically
our
old sweet village Tleil
to its
children both residents and emigrants
and to web
surfers who wish to know about a sweet old village in our
cherished Lebanon .
The purpose
also is to create an electronic association so That
natives of our
village
can virtually visit it whenever they want
to find out about its prevailing condition
, stories and
affairs .
The rationale behind creating this website
is a pure love to my village in which I was born and grew up, and where I
also had a good experience during my leadership of the scouts’ band for
more than six years.
During the preparation of the geographical and
historical situations of the village and along the discussion with the
villagers about old and new customs and habits, I knew Tleil more in
details and I found how beautiful it looks like.
Despite the long distances, my nostalgia toward
Tleil did not lessen. This encouraged me to create this website, which is
the least job that I can do, so then the dream of coming back from abroad
and seating under the shadows of its trees will come true.
I spent a lot of time and effort in
creating this website in order to look acceptable, and I hope to
have succeeded. There are uncovered
topics , but I will try my best to update the
site in order to meet the expectations of our village and all
related villagers, who are characterized by their open-mindedness.
Looking
for a thorough and full updated website , I
kindly ask my fellow Tleilians to send all available and fresh
information, news, old and new photos, and to provide me with all
upcoming activities that will take place in Tleil for the goodness of our
village. This will enable the website to be complete and up-to-date, and
make it a reference for everybody who looks for news about the village
and villagers.
Expressing your opinion, comment and criticism
will encourage me to avoid mistakes and pitfalls, and to improve our
website. It encourages me to enrich the website with everything useful.I
will not spare any opinion, comment or criticism. I promise my
fellow villagers, residents and emigrants, to make our
multi-linguistic website an individual tribune without having any hidden
personal purposes.
I ask God to grant me all success in improving
this website. Finally I wish always the whole goodness to our village Tleil.
