Traditions
People
of tleil stick to a number of traditions and customs that formed a
genuine heritage distinguishing them from others.
These
traditions come under different forms, covering all aspects of life.
The
most important traditions are religious, especially those regarding
easter and christmas.

On the
feast’s eve, family members spend the evening together. The following
day, people go to church and attend the mass. Later on they visit each
other, and present their wishes for a merry christmas and a happy
easter.
People
also celebrate other special feasts like saint barbara’s feast on the
fourth of december (a version of halloween), and new year’s eve.
There are
other traditions concerning marriage.
The
marriage was rustic, and rural in accordance to countryside and village traditions. Old and young
meet together and join in wishing the newly weds a life full of
happiness and respect.
Children
would spend their time playing in fields and near the fountains where
they can enjoy the fresh water.
The
most important characteristic of this village is a wrist of social
values. Mutual assistance is basic in everyday life; hospitality is a
common trait; friendliness and kindness are the only way in which they
deal with others.
Out of
such traditions emanated the principles of common and community life,
